Lillian Weber, a 99-year-old good Samaritan from Iowa, has spent the last few years sewing a dress a day for the Little Dresses For Africa charity, a Christian organization that distributes dresses to children in need in Africa and elsewhere.
Weber’s goal is to make 1,000 dresses by the time she turns 100 on May 6th. So far, she’s made more than 840. Though she says she could make two a day, she only makes one – but each single dress she makes per day is personalized with careful stitchwork. She hopes that each little girl who receives her dress can take pride in her new garment.
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — An Oklahoma City police officer was charged Friday with 16 counts including first-degree rape and sexual battery after being accused of assaulting at least eight women while on patrol.
Daniel Holtzclaw, 27, also faces charges of forcible oral sodomy and indecent exposure. Holtzclaw, a former standout football player in high school and college, was arrested Aug. 21. He remained in custody on a $5 million cash bond Friday, according to jail records.
He is accused of stopping women, who were all black and between the ages of 34 and 58, while on duty in Oklahoma City. Prosecutors allege that he raped two women and either fondled others or forced them to expose themselves, and police said there may be more victims.

The automatic criminalization of black and brown bodies
its apples and oranges.. comparing BB guns to .223s and an AK (unless these are .22 cal clones). even if they are just dressed up .22s thats in a completely different ballpark as the big5 airguns up topIdc if it’s a rubber band gun or a bazooka, BB gun or an Ak. You have to respect it for what it is a gun. It’s not apples to oranges it’s apples to apples you can’t say because one had less power that it’s still not dangerous. It’s the same thing and in this picture the only thing changed are the color of the kids skin as far as I’m concerned.
My problem is the lack of trigger discipline in both photos.
